Transit to Greenspace: Mississippi Riverfront

Join us for an alternative transit/multi-modal outing to one of Minneapolis' most defining greenspaces, the Mississippi Riverfront.  Group will meet at 11:00AM at Gold Medal Park and then continue on to bike/hike along the riverfront.  We will discuss history, revitalization and protection efforts that have helped shaped the riverfront as we know it today.  There will be a short break for a picnic lunch (not provided).  Difficulty rating: easy-moderate.

 

Please be sure to bring your own drink, food and dress for the weather!  A reminder email will be sent out to all participants who have RSVP'd 2-3 days before the event.

Directions:

Ride/bike/walk to meet us at Gold Medal Park (adjacent to the new Guthrie Center, 818 South 2nd Street Minneapolis) by 11:00AM.  We will leave Gold Medal Park by 11:10.  Group will return to Gold Medal Park by 1:30 so you can make appropriate bus connections.  Use Metrotransit.com to configure your route, or reach out to Andrea if you need assistance.
