Superior Hiking Trail Backpacking - CANCELLED

Meet at Jay Cooke State Park by 6:00 pm Thursday, Aug 28. We'll return on Labor Day, Monday, Sept 1.

Details:

We'll spend Thursday evening at a backpack site at Jay Cooke State Park for a shakedown, then head to the SHT for four days and three nights along the trail.  Our route and distance will depend on the abilities of participants.


Beginning backpackers in good shape are encouraged as long as you participate in some preliminary shake-down day hikes (with pack).  Call Tom if you have questions. 


The Club can provide you with all the necessary backpacking equipment.  However, well broken-in hiking boots with ankle support are required.


Space is limited.  Deposit required.  No dogs.

Difficulty: Moderate to strenuous.
