Conditioning Hike

9:00 a.m. carpool meets at Sierra Club offices, 10:15 a.m. hike begins from Visitor Center parking lot at Afton State Park. See Directions for more.

Details:

5-7 Miles of Hiking Hills and Prairie in Afton State Park

Wear sturdy hikers. Bring two bottles of water and snacks. We'll take breaks along the trail to eat. This is rated strenuous for distance. There are some good hills in Afton and a long hike can be a nice challenge. The hike will last about 4 hours.

Rating: Strenuous

Dogs on leash welcome.

Meet at 9:00 am for carpool at the Sierra Club North Star Chapter office, 2327 East Franklin Avenue, Minneapolis MN

Meet at 10:15 am for hike at Afton State Park. Look for us in the Visitor Center parking lot inside the park.
