Development of UMore Park, Rosemount MN

8:30 AM -11:30 AM. Meet at the Sierra Club office at 8:30 am or the UMore Admin building at 9:15 am.
Details:
The rolling hills of field and forest that UMORE Park resides within are part of the Vermillion River watershed, abutting a fast-growing urban area that needs to consider how it will grow. Dewey Thorbeck, Program Director for the Center for Rural Design at the Uof MN, will give a 1 hour presentation on development options that are being considered for UMore Park and the City of Rosemount.
Meet at the UMore Park Administrative Office and Conference Center at 9:15 to get a seat. The presentation will last until 10:30. From 10:30 to 11:30 we will drive within the park to discuss the development options as presented. If you can stay longer there are 11 miles of hiking trails just south of the Administration Building.

Directions: UMore Admin Building, 1605 160th Street, Rosemount, MN. From 94 east, take Hwy 52 south. Two miles south of Cty Rd 42, at the small city of Coates, take the exit for Cty Rd 46 (160th Street). Exit on Cty Rd 46 west and continue for about 3 miles to the UMore Park Administrative Office and Conference Center.
